Learning Objectives:
- Learn directional speech: turn around, turn left, go to the other side, etc.
- Improve use of all types of pronouns.
- Learn more verbs.
- Learn future tense and past tense of verbs.
Description of Progress:
- Directional speech: Learned across from, near, by, around the corner, at the corner, next to, behind, in front of, the other side of, turn (left/right), go straight, under, over, through, turn around, up, down. Used library materials with maps, as well as other pictorial materials. Directed me to different locations in the house using directional speech. USED: Life Prints and Side by Side, and internet maps and vocabulary.
- Pronouns: Subject and object pronouns; ie, I give it to him, he gives it to me. USED: Life Prints, Side by Side, ENP, and internet exercises.
- Verbs: Mostly internet exercises, some Side by Side, ENP. Working on present tense of To Go, To Come.
- Future tense and Past tense: Future: Adding will" to verb infinitive, ie, I will go to the store tomorrow. He will be home tomorrow. He will have his paycheck tomorrow. Past: Simple past, adding "ed" to regular verbs: Yesterday I walked to the store. Last week I watered the lawn. USED: ENP, Side by Side, internet activities.
Summation: Descriptive Example: Objectives Met /or Not Met, and why
- Directional speech: Objective met. Rosa can now give directions to clients at the motel where she works.
- &3 & 4: Pronouns / Verbs / Tenses: Continuing to work with examples.
